Susan and Nate saw this kookaburra on a bushwalk in a park north of Sydney in early December. We learned from our Australia hosts to say "cook-a-burra" instead of "kook-a-burra." Jon and Susan are professors at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem. Jon is in the Department of Theatre and Dance. He has lived in Winston-Salem for 25+ years.
